North Korea Internship Part-Time Asia |
We are seeking a part-time intern to work primarily on North Korea-related research projects. This position will entail working with a variety of primary quantitative and qualitative research inputs in both English and Korean, conducting an extensive literature review of Korean-language materials, aiding in research design, analysis and reporting, and responding to client requests.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree candidate in political science, international affairs, Asian studies, or related field.
- Deep interest in North Korea, particularly the media/information environment.
- Solid knowledge of research methods.
- Strong ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis (e.g., SPSS), word processing and presentation software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work to multiple and tight deadlines.
- Fluent in Korean and English, required.
- Proficiency in Chinese or Japanese a plus.

- Team player; self-starter; shows initiative; works independently.
- First-rate interpersonal skills.
This is a paid internship and will work approximately 20 hours p/week. InterMedia offers a casual and friendly work environment, and a convenient D.C. downtown location. No relocation.
