Assistant Editor Part-Time Communications and Business Development |
We have a great opportunity for a part-time Assistant Editor. This position is responsible for performing a variety of copyediting and administrative tasks in support of the Editorial/Production Department.
Responsibilities:
- Copyedits and proofreads reports and other materials, including presentations and website materials;
- Distributes reports to clients, maintaining current distribution lists and tracking acceptances or requests for revisions to reports;
- Updates and maintains InterMedia’s project database (WITS) and reports archive;
- Updates qualitative research results on SARA;
- Assists in tracking the status of reports being prepared by InterMedia staff and team partners;
- Prepares monthly and weekly compendiums of research results and delivered reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 1-2 years experience;
- Strong knowledge of AP style and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Strong verbal and written communication, planning and organizational skills;
- Detail-oriented and accurate; meet critical deadlines and perform multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Proficiency or working knowledge of graphics and web design, desired.
