Survey Research Intern Part-Time Research and Analysis Unit |
The Research and Analysis Unit is currently accepting applications for advanced undergraduate or graduate students who are skilled and interested in assisting in media-related surveys.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts data integrity checks.
- Monitors quality control procedures.
- Assists research analysts with data provision, data analysis and reporting.
- Assists with some data entry tasks.
- Maintains current inventory of survey archive data,
- Supports the creation of an on-line database.
Qualifications:
- Must be an advanced undergraduate or graduate student available part-time (20 to 40 hours a week) for the entire semester.
- Degree (completed or underway) in a social science field, with courses in statistics.
- Experience working with survey research data and good understanding of associated methodological issues strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in SPSS and/or other statistical analytical software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and oral form in English.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Interest in, knowledge of and preferably experience in transitional and developing societies.
