We are offering an internship in our Communications Department for individuals interested in new
media, media research, international development and global affairs.
This internship is primarily designed to provide practical work experience and will assist the Communications Department in a variety of areas:
- Help to manage InterMedia's web properties and social media activity.
- Help to maintain InterMedia's knowledge management systems, including databases of staff information, business contacts, project histories and Past Performance Reports.
- Help to create graphs, charts and other content for use by InterMedia staff.
- Perform research and gather information to support proposals, presentations, reports, etc.
- Assist the Director of Communications in producing editorial and other InterMedia-branded materials, and in arranging InterMedia events.

Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree or recent graduate. Course of study in international affairs or media/communications area preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong web and computer skills, preferably with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web content management systems. and social media tools.
- Strong customer service skills to include prompt response to requests and follow up.
- Ability to pay attention to detail, process work accurately, and perform multiple taskssimultaneously
This is a paid part time internship. Candidates must be available to start immediately. InterMedia offers a casual and friendly work environment, and a convenient D.C. downtown location. No relocation.
